These cats are not novelty items!

Ohio Sphynx Rescue is an independent operation located in Northeastern Ohio. Recently They have been coming together with contacts all over the United States to form a more efficient National effort. They have all been working together for the good of the Sphynx! Their goal is to prevent any Sphynx from being needlessly put down at an overcrowded shelter or being left out on the streets due to changes in their family.

Their rescues come from all over the country (but mostly OH and the neighbooring states) and a lot of them have been through a real ordeal. Ohio Sphynx Rescue keep’s the cats in their “foster home” for as long as they need to become healthy and strong and ready to accept the challenge of moving again. Most are owner surrenders and are given up simply because the owners are moving or divorcing and can’t take their beloved pets with them, although a frightening number of sphynx’s have been coming from kill shelters. Occasionally, they will come from a “kitty mill” or “collector”. In that case they may need more rehibilitating, socialization and patience from their new home.
