We have a Sphynx in our rescue right now--he's been with us several months. He was an unnuetered stray & is about 3 years old. It's taken Ramsey a while to settle down & he's still unpredictable. He'll get in your lap & seem real happy & then suddenly he screams & lashes out--he's gotten a volunteer in the face. Have you seen this kind of behavior in any Sphynx you've rescued? He REALLY needs a bath & general clean up, but it's just too chancy at this point. This is our first experience with the breed & we want to do right by him. Are there any pointers you can give us to help make him "safer". We really want to find him a home, but can't with his Jekyll/Hyde personality. Any insight, tips etc will be greatly appreciated.
